Business

Seattle may have the big city name, but it doesn’t have dibs on the big business. Plenty of large corporations are headquartered east of Seattle, known as “the Eastside,” or “the 425” for its area code.

Bellevue, the land of fewer high-rise buildings just eat of Seattle, is home to some well-known companies such as T-mobile, Symetra, Paccar, Drugstore.com, and Eddie Bauer. Boeing and Microsoft HQs have branches in Bellevue as well.

Also located in Bellevue is SAP Concur, the world leader in helping companies automate and manage their business and travel expenses. MG2 is another impressive name headquartered in Bellevue, one of the largest architectural and design firms in the nation. You’ll also find Dreambox Learning in Bellevue, a rising star for its game like online math curriculum for students in K-8th grade.

Bellevue is a modern, growing city with a synergetic mix of retail, urban housing, restaurants, and technology that attracts a hard-working class of skilled professionals. It’s a magnet for high-tech companies, but still a charming city where unique smaller businesses can thrive.
